Walmart will soon be rolling out a new in-home delivery service that will allow employees to stock your fridge when you’re not home.
Walmart announced the new service last week, which was tested in New Jersey for five months before a decision was made to expand to more than a million customers this fall in Kansas City, Pittsburgh and Vero Beach, Florida. For those with questions about security, Walmart employees will wear a camera when they enter a person’s home, which will be able to be viewed live from their phone. Customers who use the service will also have to buy a special door lock, of which the price was not made available.
In addition to the in-home grocery delivery, customers will also be able to have their returns handled by leaving them on their counters for employees to pick up.
