Dominican Republic: President of Asonahores defends tourism in the face of deaths in hotels

The president of the National Association of Hotels and Restaurants (Asonahores) defended the Dominican tourism industry on Thursday night, referring to the incidents that occurred in several Eastern hotels, one of which one tourist reported that she had been beaten and others three died in circumstances that are investigated.

Paola Rainieri said that businessmen in the tourism sector are waiting for the authorities to complete their work and clarify the truth of the facts, indicating that the process may take up to a month.

So far, authorities have reported that they conduct forensic studies on the bodies of Miranda Lynn Schaup Werner, and the couple Nathaniel Edward Holmes and Cynthia Ann Day.
