Dominican Republic: Nurses brought their complaints to the Palace

The College of Nurses took its protests yesterday to the National Palace and claimed the right to have a representation in the Ministry of Health and the National Nursing Service.

The professional nurses were received at the National Palace by a commission that took the document containing their demands.

Antonia Rodríguez, president of the College of Nurses said that it is not possible that these professionals do not have a representation in the headquarters where their problems should be known.

Professionals also complain about the deficit that exists in the country that the Government pensioned hundreds of nurses in 2016, but did not replace them.
In addition, many professionals are appointed to auxiliary positions and overworked due to lack of personnel in hospitals.
