The Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) decided today to carry out a set of initiatives to defend democratic institutions and reject the claims of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) leadership to subject Dominican society to dictatorial control, that began to be reflected in the subordination to the Executive Power of the legislative and judicial powers, and other entities related to the electoral areas and control of public funds.
At the end of a meeting of the Political Committee of the National Committee of the party at noon, Senator José Paliza informed that in order to defend democracy and stop the dictatorial control exercised by the LDP over the country, they will initiate initiatives that begin with a simultaneous mobilization house by house throughout the national territory, on May 4 and 5 to raise awareness among the people about the importance of preserving democracy.
