Dominican Republic: Illegal trips do not stop; they frustrate three in two days

Members of the Naval Intelligence M-2 of the Dominican Navy frustrated in the last two days, three illegal trips to Puerto Rico, capturing 14 people, while another 20 managed to escape through thickets of Boca de Yuna, Higüey and Colonia, Miches.

It was also reported that the commander-in-chief of the Navy, Vice Admiral Emilio Recio Segura, ordered a considerable increase in patrolling day and night in all the national coasts, due to the displacement of vacationers during Holy Week, especially in the east that follows being the most used zone for departures to Puerto Rico.

The first yola with 10 people was intercepted by the soldiers of the Navy in La Colonia, Miches. The 25-foot boat was equipped with a 60-horsepower engine with several gas cylinders.
