Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appears to be rubbing voters the wrong way — if they’ve heard of her at all — with 36 percent of respondents in a new poll saying they have a negative opinion of her.
A Quinnipiac University survey released Thursdayfound that 23 percent gave her a favorable rating, but 38 percent said they didn’t know enough about the progressive politician to form an opinion about her — despite her being on the April 1 cover of Time magazine.
The 29-year-old Democrat got her highest favorable rating — 35 percent — from those in her 18-34 age group, with 23 percent of millennials viewing her as unfavorable and 41 percent acknowledging that they haven’t heard enough about her to make a decision.
Among Republicans, she got a 74 percent unfavorable rating and a 2 percent favorable rating. Twenty-three percent didn’t know enough about her.
