The recommendation was made yesterday by the Division of Sectoral Policies, Educational Development, Technology and Education of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco) Francesc Pedró, during the presentation of the “Ibero-American Forum tic, innovation and educational quality “.

The education policy expert asked Dominican teachers not to see smartphones as enemies of education, but as a mechanism to maintain student attention.

“The first thing teachers must learn is the rudiments of the technologies that children use on a regular basis and see them as an opportunity to develop certain activities,” said the professor.
