NYC: Man, 31, shot dead next to Queens expressway after leaving karaoke bar: police

A man was shot dead on a Queens street after leaving a karaoke bar early Tuesday, police said.

The 31-year-old victim was blasted multiple times in the head and body outside a metal works shop on Fowler Ave. near 131st St. and next to the elevated Van Wyck Expressway in Flushing about 2:35 a.m., cops said.

He had just left the Shangri-La Karaoke bar when a masked man ran up and opened fire, witnesses told police.

The masked man then jumped into an awaiting car and sped away, cops said.

EMTs rushed him to New York-Presbyterian/Queens but he could not be saved. His name was not immediately released.

There were no arrests.
