Dominican Republic: Six policemen suspended for “tumbe” of cocaine in San Cristóbal

The involvement of six police officers in the “tumbe” of an undetermined amount of cocaine that was part of a stash confiscated in San Cristóbal, forced the Superior Police Council to meet yesterday.

The complaint of a second lieutenant who participated in the seizure of 337 kilos that arrived from Haiti and that the truck that supposedly transported them was left abandoned, alerted the high command of the uniformed, who suspended the agents and initiated an investigation.

The officer had reported that he gave his superiors the truck, Daihatsu brand, white, plate number L225505, which carried at least 50 bags containing the narcotic cargo, which is presumed to be more than 500 kilos.
