Dominican Republic: Accusations against authorities discredit fight against drug trafficking

The National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) continues to remain silent in the face of the questioning that it has been subjected to following the death of National Police Col. Daniel Ramos, who was killed in a drug store in Baní last week.

According to the denunciations of the legislators Wilton Guerrero and Dionis Sanchez, the anti-drug institution knows of the places where the drug points operate and many times, due to complicity, it does not pay attention to the denunciations made by citizens.

According to prosecutors investigating the death of the colonel, those arrested for the fact belong to a network that has operated for several years in the province of Peravia, and was led by Rafael Antonio Díaz, (Buche), the main defendant for the crime .
