Dominican Republic: 2019 will be the year of the great political struggles that will define the protagonists of the 2020 elections

2019 will be the year in which, after intense internal battles, the mists will be cleared over who the presidential candidates will be.

The month of March is seen on the horizon as the one that will mark the gun for the political race for the Presidency of the Republic and other congressional and municipal offices.

The date was set by President Danilo Medina, who has submitted his final position to that month on whether or not he accepts to seek a new re-election, which is impeded in the twentieth transitory article of the Constitution.

The political panorama left positioned in the sympathies of the purple electorate to the own agent chief executive, to the ex president Leonel Fernandez, and to the vice-president Margarita Cedeño de Fernández.
