Six of the 56 public hospitals that are part of the government’s national hospital reconstruction plan will be built from scratch, because they did not pass the structural vulnerability test to which technicians of the Office of Supervisory Engineers of State Works (OISOE) submitted them. , when the intention was to repair them, like the rest.
This was reported yesterday by the director of OISOE, Francisco Pagán, who assured that the program, which formally initiated the Government in 2013 with an investment of RD $ 3,000 million, is at 95 percent execution.
Those six hospitals that will be built are those of San Francisco de Macoris, Neyba, Bonao, Restoration, Boca Chica and Nisibón.
According to Pagán, the first tenders have already been carried out and work is being done on their surveys and the last ones will be tendered in January.
