NYC: Brooklyn man gets 25 years to life for murder of woman in hotel room, faces trial for similar slaying

A Brooklyn man was sentenced Wednesday to 25 years to life in prison for killing a mother of four, leaving her naked and bruised body in a hotel room — even as he faces trial for a grimly similar slaying in Manhattan.

A jury last month found Joseph Danclair, 40, guilty of killing Chrissy Bevelaqua, a 34-year-old mom of four from Staten Island, at the Bushwick Hotel in East Williamsburg on July 23, 2015.

Bevelaqua, left on the hotel room bed with bruises on her head and neck, was killed by compression of her neck and chest, an autopsy determined.

Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Dineen Riviezzo handed down the sentence Wednesday.
