Two men in their 20s, including a young father, were shot to death in separate incidents during a six-hour span in Queens, cops said Sunday.
The bloodshed began when Tymel West, 22, was blasted multiple times in the chest on Guy R. Brewer Blvd. near 108th Ave. in Jamaica about 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, police said.
When first responders arrived, West had already been taken by private means to Jamaica Hospital, where he died.
Police sources say West was fighting with his killer at a baby shower at the nearby Lebanon Lodge before his death. Investigators found no ballistic evidence at the scene.
Relatives mourned his sudden death on social media, calling him a “good father.”
“We was just talking on Friday, like we always do, and once again letting you know that I’m sooo proud of you!!” wrote LaTonya Young, grandmother to West’s daughter.
“You was a Good Father, and you Really changed your life around For Madison and your Siblings! Got your GED, Working, and about to start your Second Job Next Month, Getting Madison On Weekends, Half of the Summer, coming up to her school, Just being a GREAT Father PERIOD!” she added.
