NYC: Harlem woman held Army veteran, prevented him from fleeing, while killer knifed him 9 times, authorities say

A Harlem woman faces murder charges for holding an Army veteran from behind while a killer with a knife butchered him, authorities said.

Mary Saunders, 37, was busted Monday in the Oct. 19 murder of 35-year-old Hason Correa, who was stabbed nine times in front of his dad in the lobby of the W. 152nd St. apartment building where Saunders lives.

“She should be punished to the fullest extent of the law,” Correa’s mother, Madeline Brame, wailed through tears after Saunders’ arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court on Monday evening.

“I pray for God to have mercy on her, but she should be punished,” Brame said.
