A Prince George’s County, Maryland police officer was arrested and charged with allegedly raping a woman during a traffic stop last week.
Ryan Macklin, 29, was charged with 1st-degree rape, 2nd-degree rape, perverted practice, 2nd-degree assault and 4th-degree sex offense.
The six-year police veteran was suspended from the department without pay, according to WTTG TV.
A preliminary investigation shows Macklin assaulted the woman after pulling her over early Thursday morning.
He is accused of forcing the woman to perform a sex act on him while they were both seated in his marked patrol car.
