A gunman shot and killed a 24-year-old woman on a residential Brooklyn street Sunday evening in a fusillade of bullets that hit her in the neck, chest, shoulder and stomach, police said.
The shooting occurred just before 10:30 p.m. on Menahan St. near St. Nicholas Ave. in Ridgewood, cops said.
The woman died about 15 minutes later at Wyckoff Hospital.
Cops were seeking a 26-year-old man who fled after the shooting.
The victim’s family and friends huddled on Menahan St. early Monday, as detectives searched for evidence nearby.
“Oh man, this is not right. This is just not right. I’m sorry, but we are in no state to talk right now,” said a man who identified himself as the victim’s uncle.
He smoked a cigarette and sobbed as a woman came out of a nearby home to console him.
