Witnesses said dozens of combatants squared off in three or four separate fights on the beach near Stillwell and Surf Aves. at about 7 p.m. When the dust settled, police found a 17-year-old boy knifed in the back and torso, and a 21-year-old man slashed in the face, cops said.
Medics took both to Maimonides Medical Center with non-life-threatening wounds.
“It started on the beach and swept up onto the Boardwalk,” said Stephanie Negron, 25, a sous chef who was spending the day at the beach.
She saw the younger victim crouch over and collapse on the sidewalk as blood poured from his side.
“He was lying on the Boardwalk stabbed, surrounded by children. It was all children,” said witness Tony Williams, 28.
Cops were reviewing video of the fight Monday night, police sources said.
Police said several men in their 20s ran off shortly after the attack.
