In a letter addressed to Assistant Superintendent of Police, Ray John, the Police Service Commission has suspended him from his duties with immediate effect until the PSC decides otherwise.
Based on reliable information, the letter addressed to Ray John states that his suspension arises from an ongoing investigation by the Commissioner of Police from the Royal Police Force of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and based on that information the Commissioner of Police for Antigua and Barbuda Police Force has commenced an investigation as well.
This particular investigation started today with the search of Ray John’s residence here in Antigua. The search warrant which was issued was executed at John’s residence in Gunthropes.
According information relayed to Antigua Chronicle, the suspension was necessary for the protection of the integrity of the investigation, therefore prudence and justice demands that he be suspended from the office he holds.
The Ray John’s suspension comes mere days after the suspension of Police Commissioner Wendell Robinson.
