Police shot and wounded a pistol-toting woman hell-bent on revenge against a former friend in Staten Island on Sunday, authorities said.
Lori Gjenashaj, 41, went on a two-day rampage that started Saturday night, when she tried to choke her former pal’s new bestie at a grade school play, police sources said.
It ended Sunday afternoon, cops said, when police shot her in the stomach after two officers stopped her SUV and she displayed a weapon sources said was a starter pistol.
“I’m f—ing shot!” Gjenashaj wailed, a witness recalled, after gunshots rang out on Highland Ave. near Howard Ave. in Grymes Hill at about 12:45 p.m.
The bizarre episode began around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, after a school play at the Academy of St. Dorothy on Hylan Blvd. near Old Town Road in Grasmere. There, Gjenashaj wrapped her hands around the throat of another parent there, a 39-year-old woman, cops said.
The victim was close friends with a third parent at the school — a woman who used to be a friend of Gjenashaj’s, police sources said.
