A Bronx dad, possibly high or drunk, abandoned his baby in an Upper East Side subway station early Sunday, then told cops he lost the tot after dozing off on the train, police said.
Joshua Perez, 26 — who goes by the Facebook name Tarzan Cannibus — told cops he thought he was heading home with his 6-month-old daughter when he boarded an uptown No. 6 train at 110th St.
He nodded off, he said, and woke up alone in Brooklyn, not the Bronx, at the President St. station in Crown Heights.
“I blacked out. I don’t know what happened after that,” he told an officer, according to prosecutors.
Luckily, a passerby spotted the girl sitting in her stroller on the No. 4/5/6 platform at 86th St. and notified police. Cops are still trying to sort out how the girl wound up on the platform.
Perez told police that he and the girl’s mother were coming home from a friend’s house at about 2 a.m., when the two got into an argument and went their separate ways, sources said.
After he awoke, he called his girlfriend to ask who had the baby, and she reminded him that he was the last one to have the tot, sources said.
