The off-duty FDNY EMT accused of raping a 10-year-old girl at a Queens house party locked her bedroom door before the attack, prosecutors said Monday.
The girl told police she woke up to Frantz Petion, 25, violating her in her attic bedroom early Sunday, prosecutors said.
Petion grabbed the sleeping girl by the neck, clapped a hand over her mouth and said he’d hit her if she didn’t stop yelling, a criminal complaint alleges.
Moments later, a family friend heard a man’s voice from behind the girl’s door, the complaint alleges.
The friend broke down the door to find the girl, partially clothed and crying, pulling the sheets up on her bed, where Petion sat next to her, prosecutors said.
“The defendant, who attended a birthday celebration while off-duty, is alleged to have turned it into a nightmare for this 10-year-old girl and her family,” said Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
