NYC: “Shouting match between defendant, NYPD cop in court triggered fatal Queens bombing”

A courtroom shouting match between a city cop and an unhinged defendant sparked last year’s fatal bombing of a mistakenly-targeted Queens man, sources said Thursday.

Officer Joel Crooms and suspect Victor Kingsley squared off in court after the cop and his partner arrested the 37-year-old man for possession of a stun gun in 2014, the sources said.

At a subsequent court appearance, Kingsley erupted at Crooms — and later began scouring the internet for the officer’s home address, sources said.

Kingsley’s home showed the suspect conducted similar web searches for the residences of a second cop and a pair of sitting judges, another source told the Daily News.
