LIAT, The Caribbean Airline, has teamed up with the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority and the Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission to promote Antigua Carnival 2018. The airline is reaffirming its partnership with the “Greatest Summer Festival” as they undertook a joint promotion during Trinidad’s 2018 Carnival.
LIAT’s Corporate Communications Manager, Shavar Maloney noted that the airline reiterates to its commitment to connect the Caribbean. “As the Caribbean Airline, we see it as part of our purpose to connect the Caribbean and share the rich cultural heritage of our region including from our home of Antigua and Barbuda.” He stated that the joint promotion will assist in getting more persons to want to experience the vibrant culture of Antigua especially at Carnival and getting them there will be easier by flying LIAT.
ABTA’s Regional Marketing Consultant, Charmaine Spencer expressed her gratitude for the collaboration between the airline and the ABTA which she stated would help to heighten Antigua’s destination profile, in addition to bringing a greater awareness for Antigua’s Carnival product throughout the region. “This is the first of a number of marketing efforts that we have planned as a part of our regional marketing strategy for 2018, as we continue to partner with Antigua and Barbuda’s leading airline, LIAT, to promote attractive packages and special offerings to encourage more visitor arrivals from within the Caribbean.” Mrs. Spencer added.
