The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) and in particular officers to the Drug Squad are beating their chests as a mark
of success following two successful drug operations yielding returns of over seven hundred pounds of marijuana within a five day period.
According to information reaching the Grenada Informer operation number, one took place close to the St David Marina, where some ten bags of compressed marijuana weighing some 278 pounds were discovered close to an
abandoned resort on the beachfront last Friday.
Sources told the Informer that although no one was arrested on the scene, the lawmen took control of one wooden boat spotted a vehicle moving away from the scene.
The police we were told, have since mounted a serious manhunt for three individuals suspected of being connected with the drugs.
Meanwhile, just before press time on Wednesday, unconfirmed reports reaching the Informer indicated that one of the
men had been taken into police custody. Sources said he was seized in the vicinity of the Maurice Bishop International Airport attempting to leave the country.
